Subproject 07
Collection of Biological Samples in Domestic Animals for Toxicological Analysis
The objective of subproject 07 is to collect biological samples, such as urine, feces, blood, hair and milk, from domestic, companion and production animals in the vicinity of the Paraopeba River, enabling future toxicological tests.
Methodological steps
1st Stage: Evaluation, selection and georeferencing of rural properties and households whose animals will be collected;
2nd Step: Contact for scheduling visits to properties;
3rd Stage: Visits to collect samples of hair, blood, feces, urine and milk, in addition to acquiring other data about the animals, such as place of origin, breed, age, owner, etc.;
4th Step: Storage and transport of samples for delivery to the CTC;
5th Step: Transcription of all information collected into Excel tables, which will also be available to the CTC.
